Our Ingredients
What we keep out of our bottles is just as important as what we put in. And not all ingredients are created equal. We responsibly source the highest quality plant & mineral-based ingredients that, when turned into our one-of-a-kind formulas, hold up to their purpose! We believe in FULL TRANSPARENCY. We want you to know what's inside our cleaning products and why—which is why we voluntarily list that information on each and every product label, and on our website. You deserve to know what you're bringing into your home.
BIODEGRADABLE
All of our liquid products are biodegradable.
VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
We restrict VOC content to minimize indoor air pollution and associated respiratory concerns.
FRAGRANCE & DYES
Our fragrances are made from sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients like essential oils, are phthalate free and biodegradable. They are Safer Choice & Green Seal Certified, and meet the standards of the EPA, FDA and Prop65. We use non-staining dyes in a select few of our surface cleaning and dish products, but do offer a dye-free equivalent of those products for those of you who prefer to go “free & clear.”
pH
Not only are our ingredients naturally-derived, but our products meet pH standards that minimize the potential for skin and eye irritation or injury.
CRUELTY-FREE
None of our products have ever been tested on animals, and they never will.
PRESERVATIVES
Some Boulder Clean products contain Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) as a preservative to keep the products stable and free of microbial contamination over its shelf life.
EPA Safer Choice Certified
Products have to pass stringent criteria in order to earn the Safer Choice label. When a product has the Safer Choice label, it signifies that every intentionally-added ingredient in the product has been evaluated by EPA scientists. Only the safest possible functional ingredients are allowed in products with the Safer Choice label.
