There really is nothing better than fried cheese balls...except maybe fried Buffalo Chicken Cheese Balls! Fried to a beautiful golden brown, and made with Schultz's Gourmet Spicy Original Cooking Sauce and served with a creamy blue cheese dip these Buffalo Chicken Cheese Balls really are little bites of heaven! - 1 store-bought rotisserie-cooked chicken
- 1/4 cup Schultz's Gourmet Spicy Original Cooking Sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 3/4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onion
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup packed blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon Schultz's Gourmet Spicy Original Cooking Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
HOW TO MAKE
STEP 1: In a large, heavy pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F.
STEP 2: Remove the chicken from the bone and finely dice or shred. In a large bowl combine chicken, Schultz's Gourmet Spicy Original Cooking Sauce, pepper, cheese, and green onions, and toss to combine. Roll the chicken into 2-ounce balls, about the size of a golf ball.
STEP 3: Place the flour, eggs, and Panko crumbs in 3 separate bowls. Roll each ball in the flour, then the egg and then the bread crumbs. Set aside.
STEP 4: When the oil is hot fry the chicken balls in batches. Cook for about 2 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels, season lightly with salt.
STEP 5: Meanwhile make the blue cheese dip. In a large bowl combine mayonnaise, blue cheese crumbles, 1/2 teaspoon Schultz's Gourmet Spicy Original Cooking Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, lemon juice and minced garlic. Whisk together until
