We'd say this Prosciutto and Pear Pizza is about as gourmet as gourmet pizza can get! Packed full of sweet figs, salty prosciutto, fresh arugula, rich fontina and topped with a tangy balsamic glaze your tastebuds will feel like they've died and gone to flavor heaven! For bonus points: serve with a chilled glass of white wine...you can thank us later.
Ingredients
- Pizza dough of choice
- olive oil
- 4 ounce shredded Fontina
- 5-6 fresh figs , sliced
- 2-3 slices Prosciutto di Parma , torn into pieces
- 1/4 cup baby arugula
- Freshly-cracked black pepper
- balsamic reduction, optional
- 1/4 cup Pasta Jay's Classic Marinara
How To Make
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 475° F.
STEP 2: Spread dough out on a lightly-oiled baking pan.
STEP 3: Lightly brush dough with olive oil, and evenly coat with Pasta Jay's Classic Marinara. Layer the pizza with fontina, figs, and prosciutto.
STEP 4: Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake until the crust is golden and crisp. About 8-14 minutes.
STEP 5: Remove the pizza from the oven, let rest for a minute or two, and sprinkle with the baby arugula leaves. Season with fresh black pepper and drizzle with balsamic reduction. Enjoy!
