Creamy Beef and Pasta Shells

This delightful combination of creamy beef and shells creates a delicious and comforting dish. With tender pasta, ground beef, tomato, and lots of cheese it's a hearty pasta dish the whole family will love and it comes together in under 30 minutes. All that pasta, collecting every last drop of that creamy, heavenly goodness, makes it perfectly satisfying in every way.


8 ounces of small-medium sized pasta shells
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1/2 medium sized sweet onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef stock
1 jar of Pasta Jay's Creamy Tomato Sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make

STEP 1: Begin with the pasta shells. Cook according to package directions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.

STEP 2: Heat the olive oil in a large cooking pan or skillet over med-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Make sure to crumble the beef as it cooks. Drain the excess fat and set aside.

STEP 3: Add the diced onion to the same skillet or pan and cook about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently. Toss in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning and continue stirring another minute, or until the onions become fragrant.

STEP 4: Whisk in the flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute.

STEP 5: Add the beef stock and Pasta Jay's Creamy Tomato Sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally until the mixture is slightly thickened, about 6-8 minutes.

STEP 6: Add the cooked pasta shells and crumbled ground beef back into the pan. Simmer and stir for 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then add the shredded cheese and continue stirring for 1-2 minutes more until the cheese has melted.

STEP 7: Garnish with fresh chopped basil and parmesan. Serve and enjoy!
