Eating pizza for breakfast might sound all too reminiscent of your college days, but this Burrata Breakfast Pizza is so much more than that greasy reheat from a cardboard box. It has your typical breakfast staples, bacon and eggs, but then it’s taken to another level with fresh garlic and a little zing form the red pepper flakes. Let’s not forget the most important part— the Burrata. This cheese adds a richness to the pizza that will leave thinking about it for the rest of the day.
Ingredients
- Your favorite pizza crust, or dough
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped and cooked until desired crispness
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 green onions thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup Pasta Jay’s Marinara Sauce
- 2 balls of burrata cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons Parsley, Freshly chopped
How to Make
Step 1: Preheat the oven to the designated temperature for your favorite pizza crust or dough. Lightly brush crust or dough with olive oil.
Step 2: Evenly spread Pasta Jay’s Marinara Sauce on top of dough/crust, add garlic, red pepper flakes and half of the green onions.
Step 3: Pull apart the balls of burrata and evenly disperse it over the pizza. Sprinkle bacon evenly throughout pizza.
Step 4: Make wells in the pizza toppings and gently add the eggs. Top with Parmesan cheese and bake until crust is cooked and eggs are at the desired doneness. Note: If you prefer runnier eggs, try cooking the pizza for 5-10 minutes or until crust is lightly browned before adding the eggs, to ensure the crust is cooked through. Add the eggs and finish cooking until desired doneness.
Step 5: Garnish with additional green onions and parsley to taste. Enjoy!
