Advocating For The Restore Our Parks Act 2019

This year, 1908 Brands partnered with the Rocky Mountain Conservancy to support their  conservation work in our backyard at Rocky Mountain National Park. Over eleven weeks, RMC-Conservation Corps crews will work side by side with park and forest service teams in Rocky Mountain National Park and National Forests constructing and maintaining trails, restoring historic buildings.

Advocating for Restore Our Parks Act 2019

To further show our support for the protection and maintenance of our public lands, we sent our Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, Jess Saba, to Washington D.C. with the Outdoor Industry Association to meet with both Colorado Senators and six Congressmen. We advocated for The Restore Our Parks Act 2019  (H.R. 1225 & S. 500) which would fund the repairs  of unmaintained trails to crumbling roads to visitor centers built 50 years ago across 417 National Parks and help our non-profit partners in their work.

This year, 1908 Brands began the tradition of handing out a National Parks Annual Pass this year to each employee on Earth Day to celebrate our parks and our legacy ( 1908 is the year our Founder's Great Great Uncle donated a tract of land to the U.S Government that became the Muir Woods National Monument).

Our nation’s national parks are some of the most iconic and majestic places in America and we're committed to using our 1% for the Planet fund to protect and advocate for the protection of our public lands.
