The 2017 Give Back Gathering was 1% for the Planet’s first international gathering of current and aspiring business members, hosted by 1908 Brands, and held on April 14 in Boulder, Colorado.

Another one of our favorite parts of the 2017 Give Back Gathering was hearing from Patagonia executives about the behind-the-scenes aspects of their legendary Black Friday campaign. Lisa Pike Sheehy and John Goodwin of Patagonia provided so many actionable insight on how to execute an environmental giving strategy on a massive scale. Patagonia is always making a splash in the industry and challenging lawmakers to be better, this campaign was one of their most impactful decisions to date. Give Back Gathering attendees were challenged to put their thinking caps on and get creative in the campaign workshop. Everyone was split up into groups and were tasked to come up with some new ideas to further the mission of 1% for the Planet. Along the way, some epic ideas came to light and the community got the chance to interact, collaborate, and come together in a new way. Watch the video here.
