1908 Brands to Launch Pasta Jay’s Pasta Sauce and 3 Lines of Three Bears Allergen Free Oat Products at Expo West- Project Nosh


BOULDER, Colo. — 1908 Brands, a Boulder, Colo. based manufacturer of natural food and product brands to officially launch Pasta Jay’s Italian Pasta sauce and Three Lines of Three Bears Oat Products this March at Natural Product’s Expo West in Anaheim, CA.

This will be Pasta Jay’s debut and first look. Samples will be available at the 1908 Brands’ booth (#5606).

Last March, Three Bears offered a first-look at the Three Bears Oat Cups at Expo West, this year the brand will officially launch with two additional product lines. All three lines of Three Bears product are free from the top 8 allergens including gluten, dairy and nuts. In addition, the bars and cups are boosted with allergen-free probiotics in a partnership with Ganeden.

“Like all products created by the 1908 Brands team, Pasta Jay’s Italian Pasta Sauce and Three Bears Oats were created to disrupt a category that has low quality alternatives, are high in sugar and unnatural ingredients,” said Steve Savage, founder and CEO of 1908 Brands.

Pasta Jay’s Pasta Sauces

The four flavors come in 25oz jars and retail for $6.99 each. The sauces were designed to give the customer the option to pair their favorite sauce with their favorite Italian dish, from meatballs, to chicken parmesan. The line includes four flavors: Classic Marinara, Creamy Tomato, Tomato Basil and Tomato Marsala.

“We only use the freshest ingredients, because any product is only as good as the ingredients you use. We use premium tomatoes, whole clove garlic, fresh basil, a mixture of oregano, basil and Kosher sea salt to replicate the Old World recipes passed down within the family,” said Matt Schultz, co-founder of Schultz’s and Brand Manager for Schultz’s and Pasta Jay’s.

“We wanted to get into the pasta sauce category because we were inspired by the amazing food at Pasta Jay’s restaurants. With Schultz’s in our family of brands, we have learned what works best in the space,” said Steve Savage, CEO of 1908 Brands, “We looked at various pasta sauce recipes and considered developing our own line from scratch, but realized one of the most loved pasta sauces existed in our own back yard at Pasta Jay’s, one of our favorite local restaurants. This classic Italian sauce recipe goes all the way back to the 1800’s and was served to the King of Italy by Jay’s great-great-grandmother. We needed to bring it to the grocery store shopper.”

Pasta Jays will be launching regionally in The Rocky Mountain Region and then expanding nationally throughout 2018.

Three Bears Oats

Three Bears produces oat products that are always free of the top 8 allergens, gluten-free and non-GMO.

“Three Bears products are proudly oat-based, and each oatmeal cup contains 7 to 8 grams protein per serving (more than a hard-boiled egg) and 8 to 10 grams fiber per serving (four to five times as much as a piece of whole-grain toast),” said Director of Marketing, Craig Spalding. “The nutritional benefits, the allergen-free ingredients and the live probiotics will really set these oatmeal cups apart from the rest of the category.”
